To you, from King Kong Nishino ~All over the world, the threat of COVID 19 is spreading…But...it’s not an enemy we can’t defeat~

To YOU

 from King Kong Nishino

”The world is reeling from this unprecedented situation.

You must be as well.
This is a “war” that we are experiencing for the first time.
The enemy is a tough one, certain to attack us in our hearts, bodies, and the economy as well.
But…
it’s not an enemy we can’t defeat.”

*

”The important thing is not to go about it alone, but to offer and receive a helping hand.
Shout out that you need help.
And don’t overlook other’s need for help.”

*

”We are all made of different stuff, for such an occasion.
So that we can offer what others lack.
If you are in a state of devastation, don’t hesitate.
Ask for help from those around you.”

*

”The heavy, dark cloud that covers the sky upon which you look will one day surely clear.”

Stay strong.

The proceeds of this video will be donated to the Japanese team
hard at work in Broadway now.

All over the world, the threat of COVID 19 is spreading.
People have disappeared from the streets,
and many shops have been affected.

There are many events having to cancel.
We have been preparing to launch the Off-Broadway musical
Poupelle of Chimney Town” in September.

In the midst of this, the coronavirus hit New York,
and a state of emergency was announced.

All musicals were canceled and people disappeared from Broadway.
Behind the scenes, the use of rehearsal halls were restricted.
This may last for a month, but honestly, it could be more.

Currently, stage staff are unable to do anything,
and they are shaken by the uncertainty which could last for a while.
None of the stage staff would want to see the opening day without the opportunity to fully prepare and create a great production,

so yesterday, I promised that I would support them financially until
the musical “Poupelle of Chimney Town” starts,
and I ordered that the performance be postponed.

They must’ve felt stonewalled.
I was also very much heart-broken.

Owners of concert halls are hit by closure.
Gallery organizers who’ve worked hard will have to endure postponing their exhibitions.

The world is reeling from this unprecedented situation.
You must be as well.

This is a “war” that we are experiencing for the first time.
The enemy is a tough one, certain to attack us in our hearts, bodies, and the economy as well.
But…
it’s not an enemy we can’t defeat.

I myself is having to deal with this every day,
but each obstacle is something we can overcome by helping each other.
The important thing is not to go about it alone, but to offer and receive a helping hand.
Shout out that you need help.
And don’t overlook other’s need for help.

We are all made of different stuff, for such an occasion.
So that we can offer what others lack.

If you are in a state of devastation, don’t hesitate.
Ask for help from those around you.

We’ve all been working so hard so far, now is the time to ask for help.

The other day, I received the demo version of the musical’s theme song from the Broadway team.
In hopes that the song might uplift you,
I send it to you now.
The heavy, dark cloud that covers the sky upon which you look will one day surely clear.
Stay strong.
